Perspectivism, as a western philosophical view, was initiated by Nietzsche of course. I told Russell (ALL RESURRECTS) that, before he died, the most significant thing happened, when he threw himself around a horse that was being beaten: crying. And that I had remembered this again right after having written down the following: 'One of the most poignant perspectives of Europe is undoubtedly that of Friedrich Nietzsche. If you open one of his books and read it's as if the breath of someone who's just been revived is being recorded inside some sound-proof studio.'
Nietzsche believes, that there is no Truth in existence as it is all merely perspectives, basically that's what he's saying. Now there is another German-born professor, Werner Krieglstein, who challenged this perspective by his "transcendental perspectivism" of which the following is found on Wikipedia:
A logic formula developed by Dr. Krieglstein's son for this process [of people sharing truth] reads as such:I'm not saying to agree or disagree, but would thus begin this thread.Xp + XoN + E = XpoN
In that, X is a given phenomena, Xp is the perceiver's perspective of that phenomena, XoN is one or more other people's perception of that phenomena, and E is an error term. The result is XpoN which is a truth about the given phenomena that is shared by the perceiver and the other, but transcends the limited perception of either to become a transcendental truth. It is important to note that XpoN is not necessarily just the sum total of two perspectives, but rather a new and unique truth that is only achieved through sharing.
